Fretwork + Grey Ruffles

I found these TWO items as I was reading my blogs today. I too LOVE these ruffle curtains from Urban Outfitters, I think the white one would look good against my gray walls and then pair it with this AMAZING rug! My hubby painted my office a beautiful Grey and I can't wait to add more to the room, these two finds would make it SO cute! ( I can't remember where I found the rug, but the drape was from Caitlin Creer Interiors Blog)

Happy Numero Dos!

Just wanted to say Happy 2 years to our dear friends Pastor Micah and Erika Cruger!

2 Years ago today was a crazy, fun and cold day! But is was a blast celebrating with the two of you! We love you!

XOXOX,
Katie and Joe

A little Halloween decor for ya!

I have not been a big Halloween person really until a few years ago, when my mom started decking our house out! Then last year when I had Joe's house to decorate, even though we weren't married yet -HAHA, I started creating my Halloween box of goodies!
I have been busy so far this year and just seem behind on everything, so the most I have gotten to is one little table centerpiece. This could be all I do, or I could do more! We will just have to wait and see, won't we! Mooo-ha - ha - ha!

P.S. I am going to add some nailheads to my white pumpkins too... If you can't tell from my past two posts and this silver tray... I am kinda obsessed with nailheads! Watch out old pieces of furniture and you pumpkins, I am coming after ya!

Hotel Hanchinamani

Well, finally, here is a little post about my surprise for my hubby! I had this all done for him when he came back from 6 weeks in DC! He LOVED it! I designed the headboard and then bough the side tables, and floor lamp from Pier 1. The awesome vintage 1960s velvet chair is from my Grandma Selma! It needs two new legs, but will do for now! I love the chair so much!
PLEASE keep in mind this is only phase 1 of our master bedroom. Imagine with me, plantation shutteres, crown molding, a chandelier in the center of the ceiling, windowpaned french double doors with sheer fabric, black and white patterened drapes, a mirrored top on top of the black chest of drawers, 2 end stool/bench at the end of the bed, an area rug, some mirrors, some wedding pictures..... see I still have lots to do, but if I can say so myself, this is a good start!!
So, SURPRISE Mr. Hanchinamani! Until the next time you leave town.....

I would like to also note that the cute lamps are from Auntie Margie as part of her wedding present to us, the tree was thanks to Kirsten for selling her staging stuff and the headboard was fabricated by Mara and Frank at www.designsbymara.net
